15website5TOPICProcedures for entering Japan入国手続きStudents admitted to Gunma University as “International Student (Ryugakusei)” should have a Certicate of Eligibility as a student. If a foreign student does not possess this status, services to international students, including scholarship applications, are not available.　本学に留学生として在籍する場合は必ず在留資格「留学」の身分を持つ必要があります。そうでなければ、留学生として扱われず、奨学金や留学生に対するサービスを受けられません。Procedures for entering Japan／海外から本学に入学する場合All future international students need to hold a valid passport issued by their home countries and a “Student” Visa issued by the Japanese Embassy or Consulate. In order to receive a “Student” visa, you must rst obtain a “Admission Letter” from Gunma University and then Certicate of Eligibility from Tokyo Immigration Oce. Once you decide to enter Gunma University, we recommend that you apply as soon as possible for Certificate of Eligibility through Gunma University. It takes one to two months. Should you have any questions regarding the application procedures, please contact the International Oce.　外国人留学生となる方は、皆、自国の政府から旅券の発給を受け、原則としてその旅券にあらかじめ海外にある日本国大使館・領事館等で入国目的に合致した査証（VISA：留学）を受けることが必要です。　なお、留学の査証（VISA）を受けるには、入学しようとする学部（研究科）の入学許可書の写し（その他入学を認める旨の証明書）が必要です。その他、日本の入国管理局が発行する在留資格「留学」許可書が必要です。審査に１~２ケ月かかるので、群馬大学の受験を決めたら早めに準備をしましょう。詳しくは群馬大学国際課まで。Procedures for foreign nationals currently residing in Japan／日本国内に住んでいて本学に入学する場合After completing the procedures for admission to Gunma University, you need to apply for a “Change of Residence Status” at the local immigration oce.
