However, is no precise definition of face type, and we can only judge face intuitively, and most faces are not so simple that we can clearly say ○ face. You can't find glasses that really look good with this. Thus, in this research, we tried to judge the face type by learning many face images on a computer. As a result, we were able to develop a system that outputs the ratio of what kind of face type the input face image consists of. Since students play a leading role in this research, I often conducted the research by myself and proceeded with development during the research period. Through these experiences, I think I have successfully enhanced my problem-solving skills.Bioresource Sciences FacultyEmployment status of Mar. R5 graduates (As of Mar.31, R5)In March Reiwa, we sent out our 21st graduat-ing class. Of the 279 applicants for employ-ment in the 21st cohort Reiwa, 100% of Graduates were offered jobs as of March 31, 2023. Our graduates have achieved an employment rate of almost 100%.In addition, 105 students went on to graduate school in the 21st class.Detailed instruction and balanced educationThere are about 8 students per faculty member, and detailed guidance can be provided. A total of 199 faculty mem-bers, ranging from liberal arts courses to specialized subjects, provide helpful support from enrollment to graduation. In addition to human resources with a track record of education and research at universities, about 30% of faculty members have experience of working as researchers and engineers in private companies, providing well-balanced science and technology education.I want to do research as soon asI enter universityEmployment support system to maintain a high employment rateEmployment-friendly universitiesresearchthemeIndependent student research can be conducted by new and second-year students. They will decide on a research theme, organize groups, make a plan and implement it.In addition, the supervisor will give needed advice and provide experiment space, equipment, and research funds (up to 150,000 yen per project) to support the students' research. The number of research themes in 2022 was 33 at the Faculty of Systems Science and Technology, and 34 at the Faculty of Bioresource Sciencesthere it as ○ Systems Science and Technology Faculty159 job applicants159 job seekers120 job applicants120 job seekersEmployment rateBioresource Sciences FacultyresearchthemeTeachingName of facultySystems Science and Technology FacultyDepartment of Mechanical EngineeringDepartment of Intelligence MechatronicsDepartment of Computer ScienceDepartment of Architectural Environmental SystemsDepartment of Industrial and Systems EngineeringBioresource Sciences FacultyDepartment of Applied Biological SciencesDepartment of Biological Production SciencesDepartment of Biological and Environmental SciencesDepartment of AgribusinessAgri-Innovation Education and Research CenterCenter for Integrated Arts and SciencesAdvanced Wood Processing Research InstituteCenter for Regional Cooperation and Research PromotionTotal※As of April Reiwa 5※The number of faculty members excludes one professor from the Center for Regional Cooperation and Research Promotion (one professor from the Faculty of Bioresource Sciences).34967753971066Systems Science and Technology FacultyTotal862120151713812123172031413219947 Antibiotics are substanc-es that inhibit the growth of other microorganisms produced by microorgan-isms and are used to treat various infectious diseas-es in which microorgan-isms become pathogens. However, the emergence of drug-resistant bacteria for which conventional antibi-otics do not work has become a global problem. The search or development of new antibiotics is one of the important research issues. We visited hot springs in Akita Prefecture to collect soil and search for antibiotic-pro-ducing microorganisms. We thought that if we could find thermophilic bacteria that produce antibiotics in the extreme environment of high temperatures, it would lead to the discovery of new antibiotics. I was very happy when I finally found a highly probable microorgan-ism, after I patiently cultivated it spending a lot of timeWithin AkitaOutside AkitaEmploymentBioresource Sciences FacultyWithin AkitaOutside AkitaAntibiotics are produced at hot springs in AkitaLet's search for thermophilic bacteria100%100%81.1%18.9%33.3%66.7%Independent Student ResearchSmall group educationFeatures of the University
