6●Chair: Masato Nishiguchi We provide practical education for engineers who support industry, and education and research on applied systems that integrate fields such as machinery, electronics, and communications, with control as the core technol-ogy. In specialized subjects centered on mechanical engineering, electrical, electronic engineering, control engineering, and mechatronics courses that combine these technologies based on systems thinking, we provide small-group education centered on project-based practical training, with the goal of fostering human resources with the ability to identify and solve problems that can be applied in the industrial field. In addition, we present learning that allows students to systematically acquire mechatronics-related skills as a course model, and develop communication skills that can respond to internationalization."Architecture" is characterized by the fact that it is an "engineering art that integrates all fields" by mobilizing all the knowledge, experience, and sensibility of various fields. Even in a single housing design, the targets to be integrated may range from the space and environment of a region or city to the scale of the global environment. In order to realize excellent architectural spaces, it is necessary to consider architecture as a system and comprehensively study and research from a broad perspective. In addition to curricula rich in regional characteristics such as wooden structures and 3D CAD and BIM education to meet the needs of society that requires immediate work, this department is engaged in comprehensive architectural education and research and develop-ment in response to the new era.We conduct education and research on advanced mechanical systems that are friendly to people and the environment through the effective use of the earth's resources and energy. In education, we emphasize the mechanics of materials, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and mechanical dynamics, which form the basis of mechanical engineering, and provide classes to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for manufacturing. In addition, we will introduce project-based classes to cultivate sense and practical skills such as a "machine shop". Focusing on energy systems, transportation machinery, and production systems, we will understand the roles and responsibilities of machines and humans in society, and organically combine individual special-ized fields thinking. Through problem-finding and solution-oriented practical learning, we train practical engineers who will support the social infrastructure of the region.Currently, many computers and information devices are embedded in smartphones, home appliances, automobiles, etc. Around us, advanced information technology is being utilized. Based on information engineering, this department conducts education and research aimed at creating smart informa-tion systems that can support people by utilizing a wide variety of large amounts of information in the real world. Based on standard computer science studies, the curriculum emphasizes media information processing, intelligent information processing, and information network systems. In addition, we will focus on developing practical human resources who can design, develop, and operate information systems that meet a wide range of social needs in fields such as agriculture, livelihood support, health, transportation, and energy. For innovation that leads to the sustainable development of society, it is essential to understand the interaction between individuals and companies and the natural environment and socio-economic environment that surrounds them, that is, to understand the external environment from a bird's eye view. Based on this understanding. This department aims to innovate in industrial engineering using mathematical methods, and provides education aimed at fostering human resources who can utilize such innovation. Such human resources are expected to play a central role in decision-making and execution in various groups that create goods and services, those with tangible and intangible value.through systems Honjo CampusSystems Science and Technology FacultyDepartment of Intelligence Mechatronics●Enrollment Capacity: 60 students ●Chair: Toshiaki Nose ● 〈5 departments〉 Admission capacity: 240 students● Dean: Mamoru Mizuno● Associate Dean: Tetsuya Nishida Department of Mechanical Engineering●Enrollment Capacity: 60 students ●Dean: Takahiro Tomioka Department of Computer Science●Enrollment Capacity: 40 students Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering●Enrollment Capacity: 40 students ●Chair: Hiroshi Kimura With a broad perspective based on "systems thinking",Fostering engineers with a wealth of creativity.Department of Architectural Environmental Systems●Enrollment Capacity: 40 students ●Chair: Kenichi Hasegawa
