StudentMessageAlumniMessageStudentMessageGraduate School of International Cooperation Studies (GSICS) 14I am a master’s student at GSICS and ADB Scholarship student from Uzbekistan. Before studying in GSICS, I have been working in various state institutions in my home country for 10 years. Despite a prevailing career and adequate work experiences, I felt that I needed to acquire new knowledge and face new challenges. I always dreamed of studying in a master’s program at one of the top universities in Japan and my choice fell on GSICS.Being a master’s student, I learned that GSICS offers a unique opportunity for each student to contact the world of science and adopt an academic way of thinking, regardless of their future career paths. For me, GSICS has become my home and family, and I wish you the same!I am a government official in the General Department of Taxation, the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Cambodia. Currently, I am a graduate student, majoring in economics at GSICS under the JDS scholarship program. From the development and economics courses offered by GSICS, I gain important knowledge of economics and development policies, which are fundamental to my research and my future career. Certainly, GSICS students are trained to put economic and developmental theories into practice with research seminars on economic development and empirical research. GSICS’s international program provides me with a great opportunity to connect with other international students. Choosing GSICS is the best choice for building both global networking and expertise in the field of economics, development policies, and international studies.I earned my master’s degree at GSICS under the JDS program from 2007-2009. Those were marvelous and extremely fruitful years of my life. I met nice friends from different parts of the world. Later, I wrote a book The Secret of Japanese Miracle that became quite popular among readers in Kyrgyzstan. The education and skills I got in GSICS have been very useful in my professional activities and career. After returning back to Kyrgyzstan, I worked in the Foreign Affairs Ministry, the President’s Office and the “Yiman” Foundation under the Head of the State. Later on, I became the Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism. Recently, I was elected as a member of the National Parliament. Thank you GSICS, Kobe University and Japan. A special thanks to my teachers and mentors, who work in GSICS.
