Although brief, that experience impressed me with how globalized and diversified the school is. More importantly, it respects everyone’s interests by encouraging students to dabble in the field and explore every corner of the world. Thanks to this program, I also obtained an opportunity to work with the World Bank.The school is not only a pioneer in academia, but also offers room to engage with real-world dynamics. My flourishing interest in international development spurred me to return to GSICS as a Ph.D. student. Discussions in seminars, opportunities to encounter new people, and exchanges with experts from different fields here are all valuable building blocks for my development.Curriculum Policy1In order to impress upon students a sense of humanity and creativity, GSICS has established workshops and advanced research presentation courses.In order to impress upon students a sense of international awareness, GSICS has established International Organization Management, international field work, and internship courses.In order to acquire deep knowledge and advanced research skills defined in its diploma policy, GSICS has established advanced research courses for Doctor of Philosophy, Doctor of Philosophy in Economics, Doctor of Laws, and Doctor of Philosophy in Political Science.In order to foster the deeper sense of international awareness defined by its diploma policy, GSICS has established special courses taught in English, in addition to International Organization Management, international field work, and internships.博士課程後期課程英語コース[開発政策特別コース]10月入学Linghui Zhu博士課程後期課程Doctoral Course Eligibility for AdmissionOnly applicants who are not of Japanese nationality and can obtain an appropriate visa for enrollment may apply to this program. Distinctive FeaturesThis program was established in 1999 in order to enable international students to continue their studies using English and to acquire a Doctoral Degree. Proficiency in Japanese is not generally considered in the selection process, although a high proficiency in Japanese may be required for some applicants, depending on their research topic.
