In such an era, the need for international cooperation is more critical than ever. However, there is a risk that this concept may become hollow, reduced to mere superficial efforts.While global poverty is decreasing, Africa still faces serious poverty issues, with a notable increase in the number people living in extreme poverty over the past decade. This underscores the significance of international epitomized by the SDGs, to move beyond slogans and become meaningful and actionable. In these uncertain times, it is essential to rethink the concept of international cooperation and make it more practical and effective.Since its establishment in 1992, our school has continually adapted to changing global issues. Our goal is to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to address real-world challenges. We are committed to fostering future leaders who will drive tangible change in international cooperation and look forward to the contributions of all students in shaping a better world.1世界は今急速に変化しており、特に米国の新政権の登場により、国際情勢の不安定化が懸念されています。このような時代において、国際協力の重要性は一層増していますが、同時にその概念が形骸化し、表面的な取り組みに終わってしまう危険性も存在します。世界全体では貧困が減少し続けているものの、アフリカでは依然として貧困問題が深刻であり、過去10年間で貧困者数の増加が顕著です。この現実を前に、SDGs（持続可能な開発目標）をはじめとする国際協力の理念が単なるスローガンや政策の枠を超えて、具体的な成果を挙げる形で実行される必要性が高まっています。今こそ、国際協力の枠組みを見直し、より実効性のある形で再構築することが必要です。本研究科は1992年の設立以来、様々な国際的な課題に対応するため、絶えず改革と進化を重ねてきました。私たちの使命は、社会のニーズに応じた柔軟で実践的な教育を提供し、現場で即戦力となる人材を育てることです。グローバルな課題に取り組むためには、単に理論を学ぶだけでなく、実際に国際社会でどのように貢献できるかを実践的に学び続けることが求められます。我々の研究科は、学生が自らの専門性を深め、国際協力の現場で実効性のある変革を実現する力を育む場です。国際情勢が混迷を深める今こそ、真に持続可能な解決策を見出し、より良い世界を築くために共に努力していく時です。未来の国際協力を牽引する皆さんの活躍を心から期待しています。UCHIDA YuichiroDean and Professor Graduate School of International Cooperation Studies Kobe University変動する世界に、確かな知と実践で応えるAdvancing with sound knowledge and steady action in a changing world.Message From The Dean研究科長からのメッセージ内田 雄一郎神戸大学大学院国際協力研究科長教授
