Students are expected to build expertise in one discipline and simultaneously develop a broader perspective by learning other disciplines. We provide lectures on cutting-edge academic research and courses to teach basic research skills. Our program can help students explore questions such as how to understand complex global issues, including military conflicts, climate change, humanitarian crises, educational inequality, pandemics, and natural disasters, and what kind of roles international organizations, civil society, and the private sector, as well as national and subnational governments, can play to solve the problems.When we visit developing countries, we see various problems. but they are not always simple, as there are often complex interests behind them. To solve these problems, you will need to understand the issues, formulate policies, persuade the people involved, and then implement your policies. Knowledge of economic theory and econometrics (data analysis) will be of great help in this process. Many students enter our department with a passion to help developing economies grow. By teaching economics from the basics to the advanced levels, our program hopes to serve as a bridge between your passion and actual policy implementation.Educational Development, 国際学プログラム開発・経済プログラム国際学プログラムでは、国際関係論、開発運営論、教育開発論、保健医療論、国際防災論などの幅広い学問分野にわたり、世界水準の研究に基づいた多彩な科目を提供しています。武力紛争、気候変動、人道危機、教育格差、感染症、大規模自然災害など、一国のみでは解決の難しいグローバルな課題はどのように生じ、どのように解決できるのか。国際機構、市民社会、企業などはどのような役割を果たせるのか。そのような問いを探求するにあたって、一つの学問分野を深めると同時に、複数の分野にまたがった学際的な視野を養うこともできるのが本プログラムの魅力です。途上国を訪れると様々な問題を目にします。しかし、その裏には複雑な利害関係がある事も多く、単純ではない事が常です。問題を解決するには、複雑な問題の骨子を理解し、政策を立案し、関係者を説得し、政策を実行する能力が必要です。そのプロセスで経済理論や計量経済学（データ分析）の知識が大いに役立ちます。多くの学生は、途上国の発展に貢献したいという情熱を持って、本学に入学します。本プログラムは、経済学を基礎から発展まで教える事で、皆様の情熱が、実際の政策となって実を結ぶまでの橋渡し役を担って行きたいと思います。Our 4 Programs (for Japanese-taught Master's Course)4つのプログラム（前期課程・日本語コース）
