We offer a curriculum specialized in disaster risk reduction in collaboration with the Graduate Schools of Engineering (e.g. Post Disaster Recovery Planning) and others to investigate the issues of DRR from multiple perspectives. We offer several lectures, seminars, and fieldwork in disaster stricken areas to provide a comprehensive understanding of DRR. Additionally, it encourages students to gain an international perspective through educational collaborations with DRR research institutions (e.g. the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and United Nations organizations) and universities in disaster affected areas (e.g. Tohoku University in Japan and Syiah Kuala University in Indonesia).Our graduate school promotes a wide range of interdisciplinary research, and the insights gained from these efforts are actively integrated into graduate education.17本研究科では、阪神・淡路大震災被災地の国立大学として、減災・復興の課題を多角的に究明するため、社会科学系からの防災への視点に加えて、工学分野（例：災害復興論）等と連携し防災に特化したカリキュラムを提供しています。また、国際協力機構（JICA）や国連機関などの国内外の防災研究機関、東北大学やインドネシアのシャクアラ大学等の被災地大学との連携によって、国内外の被災地でのフィールドワーク等を行い、防災に関する国際的な視座の獲得を目指しています。本研究科では、さまざまな分野横断的な研究が展開されており、そこで得られた知見が大学院教育にも活かされています。国際防災Global Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR)4.Applied Learning for a Globalized World
