MA in Law.教授I will supervise research students who are interested in international relations, in particular, security issues in the Asia-Pacific region. Yet, due to deepening globalization, security issues are closely intertwined with economic issues. The research topics are, therefore, not necessarily limited to the security field. Rather, I encourage students to analyze the security issue from a wider perspective. Although I analyze a state’s behavior from a constructivist perspective, any theoretical position is welcome.My research formal and quantitative analysis of international politics, especially conflict and cooperation among states. I am happy to supervise any student who is interested in conducting research based on social science methodology. I mainly supervise research in International Politics and Peace Studies. Specific topics include (but not exclusively) the philosophical history of Realism and Liberalism, and issues in international order and ethics in International Politics and changing forms of conflict in the contemporary world, and structural mechanism of violence and the relations between Peace Studies and critical security issues in Peace Research. I especially focus on the validity of research topics, analytical framework, critical research review and academic writing skills.lie in interests 畠山 京子広瀬 健太郎Kentaro Hirose黒田 俊郎Toshiro Kuroda日本とアジア太平洋地域の国際関係を中心に、国際政治、特に安全保障分野における研究課題の指導を行います。しかしながら、近年ではグローバリゼーションの深化により、経済抜きには安全保障問題を語れない傾向にあります。学生には、幅広い視野で安全保障問題をとらえることを奨励します。私自身は構成主義的立場から研究を進めていますが、どのような理論的立場の研究でも歓迎します。国際政治学、特に国家間の紛争や協調をゲーム理論や統計モデルを使って分析しています。研究指導としては、社会科学の方法論に基づいた研究であれば分野を問わず歓迎します。国際開発に関する実務経験を踏まえ、東南アジアを中心に、開発途上国の経済社会開発の政策面の研究等を行っています。常に変化し続ける国際環境の中で、開発途上国・地域の開発課題を理解・分析するためには、経済学のみならず、国際関係論、政治学等の複眼的な視点が重要です。そのため、学生の持つ国際開発に関する興味関心を最大限に尊重し、それを一層高め、実り多い研究成果へと成長するよう、多角的な方面から指導していきたいと思います。Based on experience in international development as a development practitioner, my research interest includes policy aspects of economic and social development in developing countries, mainly in Southeast Asia. In order to analyze the development issues of developing countries and regions in the ever-changing international environment, it is important to be equipped with the understanding of not only economics but also other disciplines such as international relations and politics. Therefore, while respecting and enhancing students’ research interests in international development as much as possible, I will supervise research from various perspectives for students to be able to deliver fruitful research results.国際政治学及び平和研究分野を中心とした研究課題の指導を行います。具体的には、国際政治学分野ではリアリズムとリベラリズムの思想史的検討や国際秩序と国際倫理をめぐる諸問題を、平和研究分野では、現代紛争の変容と構造的暴力をめぐる諸問題や平和研究と批判的安全保障研究の接続をテーマとする学生を想定していますが、むろんこれは、他の研究テーマの排除を意図するものではありません。また具体的な指導にあたっては、研究課題の妥当性の吟味、分析枠組みの設定、先行研究の精読及び批判的検討、学術論文執筆法などに力点を置いて指導します。8
