Our program comprises three academic areas. Studies of International Society aims to provide basic concepts, theories, and policy issues for students to analyze international society as a whole from a variety of perspectives. Courses in Regional International Relations lay the foundation for analyzing regional systems by comparing relations among different nations and regions. Furthermore, Individual Country Studies provide detailed analyses of the political, economic, and social aspects of East Asian states (Japan, Russia, China, and Korea). We also have a set of courses that serve these research areas. This includes data analysis, and special courses on English academic writing and presentation as a tool for research activities.
