I am now an Associate Professor in the Faculty of International Economic Studies, University of Niigata Prefecture.Research activities I could supervise will include public choice theories using voting results and quality of life studies using public opinion survey data. Although I respect students’ research interests, I would recommend regression analysis. Before this position, she worked as a Research Analyst at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and was an Associate Professor at Kansai Gaidai University.I will supervise research students who are interested in international relations, in particular, security issues in the Asia-Pacific region. Yet, due to deepening globalization, security issues are closely intertwined with economic issues. The research topics are, therefore, not necessarily limited to the security field. Rather, I encourage students to analyze the security issue from a wider perspective. Worked with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and Chuo University.Based on experience in international development as a development practitioner, my research interest includes policy aspects of economic and social development in developing countries, mainly in Southeast Asia. In order to analyze the development issues of developing countries and regions in the ever-changing international environment, it is important to be equipped with the understanding of not only economics but also other disciplines such as international relations and politics. Therefore, while respecting and enhancing students’ research interests in international development as much as possible, I will supervise research from various perspectives for students to be able to deliver fruitful research results.● 専門分野 Research fields公共選択、公共経済学Public Choice, Public Economics● 専門分野 Research fields国際関係論、安全保障、外交政策International Relations,Security Studies,Foreign Policy Analysis● 専門分野 Research fields国際政治学、数理・計量分析International Politics,Formal and Quantitative Analysis● 専門分野 Research fields国際開発政策、開発金融、東南アジア経済International Development Policy, Development Finance,Southeast Asian Economies国際経済学部准教授国際地域学部教授国際地域学部准教授政策研究センター教授投票率などを用いた公共選択論に関する研究や世論調査データを用いた生活の質に関する研究などの分野から、学生の関心に基づいて研究指導を行います。その際、回帰分析を用いた実証的な研究を行うことを学生に推奨します。指導のあり方としては、作業仮説と基本仮説の関係から文献収集やデータ収集、データ分析、仮説検定などを含み、実証的な論文を作成できるようになるための体系的な指導をします。日本とアジア太平洋地域の国際関係を中心に、国際政治、特に安全保障分野における研究課題の指導を行います。しかしながら、近年ではグローバリゼーションの深化により、経済抜きには安全保障問題を語れない傾向にあります。学生には、幅広い視野で安全保障問題をとらえることを奨励します。私自身は構成主義的立場から研究を進めていますが、どのような理論的立場の研究でも歓迎します。国際政治学、特に国家間の紛争や協調をゲーム理論や統計モデルを使って分析しています。研究指導としては、社会科学の方法論に基づいた研究であれば分野を問わず歓迎します。国際開発に関する実務経験を踏まえ、東南アジアを中心に、開発途上国の経済社会開発の政策面の研究等を行っています。常に変化し続ける国際環境の中で、開発途上国・地域の開発課題を理解・分析するためには、経済学のみならず、国際関係論、政治学等の複眼的な視点が重要です。そのため、学生の持つ国際開発に関する興味関心を最大限に尊重し、それを一層高め、実り多い研究成果へと成長するよう、多角的な方面から指導していきたいと思います。教員紹介 ［国際地域学専攻］ Faculty
