5 We have “University to University” academic exchange agreements with 37 foreign universities and “School/Institute to School/Institute” agreements with 41 foreign universities/institutes as of January 2019. Based on these agreements, our faculty members, research staffs and students actively exchange with partner universities. Among them, we have concluded memorandums of the Double Degree program with the Eastern Finland University and the University College Dublin. Under this program, students can obtain degrees from both Utsunomiya University and the partner university upon satisfying the graduation requirements of both degrees. In addition we conduct and support a lot of international programs such as student exchange, overseas internship and short-term study abroad programs so as to raise global human resources. The Center for International Exchange has carried out the original objective of the center by actively providing education and advice for everyday living necessary for international students. Moreover, we have promoted study abroad opportunites and have provided advice for students who wish to study overseas.International ExchangeCenter for International Exchange Currently, there are 272 international students (including Japanese government scholarship students, foreign government sponsored students, self-supporting students, and exchange students) from 24 countries and regions studying at Utsunomiya University and over 90% of the international students are from Asian countries (as of October 2018).
